Mr Goyal is a consultant eye surgeon in London and Kent. With nearly two decades of experience, he strives to achieve excellence in his field with an emphasis on improving patient experience. He passionately believes that the vast majority of glaucoma blindness can be prevented by early diagnosis and effective treatment.
He did two glaucoma and one corneal/external disease fellowship training. This unique combination of training gives him expertise in managing complex cases. He is a Consultant at St Thomas’ Hospital and Honorary Lecturer at Kings College.. He participates in a Trabeculectomy surgery wet lab-training course for residents and Glaucoma Laser training course for eye doctors.
He is principal investigator for several national and international glaucoma laser and surgery treatment trials including EAGLE (lens extraction in angle closure), PTVT (Primary Tube versus Trabeculectomy study), TAGS (Treatment of Advanced glaucoma).
