Helping you live your best life
Although it’s natural for our eyesight to deteriorate over time, there are many things we can do to protect our eye health. One of those things is to have regular eye exams — especially if you are at higher risk of developing an eye condition because of an underlying health condition or a family history of eye disease.
If you are concerned about a change in your eyesight or worried about troubling symptoms such as pain or discomfort, we offer prompt appointments so that you can find answers and relief without delay. We run a daily clinic with leading optometrists and ophthalmologists so you can quickly access an expert opinion.
At London Medical, we safeguard your eye health so you can live your best life.
Who needs a complete eye exam?
If you are one of the lucky people who doesn’t need glasses or contact lenses, you may not give much importance to your eye health. But as we age, we all become susceptible to eye conditions such as cataracts, glaucoma and age-related macular degeneration.
Even if you are healthy, it’s a good idea to have regular eye exams because many eye conditions do not have any early symptoms or warning signs. A complete eye exam with dilating drops allows an ophthalmologist to check the back of your eyes for any signs of eye disease. Many reasons for vision loss are preventable, so early detection and treatment are critical.
You should have regular eye exams with dilation if you:
- are over the age of 50
- are diabetic
- have a family history of eye diseases such as glaucoma or age-related macular degeneration
- take steroids for another health condition
- have hypertension
We’ll work with you to create a personalised treatment plan to protect and preserve your vision.
