About Dr Laura Wood
Dr Laura Wood is a highly experienced GP with a special interest in women’s health, paediatrics, and mental wellbeing. Originally from London, she qualified in 2004 from Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ School of Medicine and went on to complete her general practice training in the capital. She holds the Diploma of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (DRCOG), the Diploma of Sexual and Reproductive Health (DFSRH), and is a Member of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP).
Before training as a GP, Laura worked in Hospital Obstetrics & Gynaecology, which laid the foundation for her deep expertise in women’s health. She also holds additional qualifications in menopause care and is passionate about supporting women through all stages of hormonal transition.
Alongside her clinical work, Laura is an accredited transformative coach. She supports clients facing personal or professional challenges, helping them create meaningful, lasting change. She also runs her signature Transform & Thrive menopause programme, where she combines medical insight with coaching to empower women to address symptoms of hormonal imbalance and build habits that support long-term health.
Outside of medicine, Laura is a mother to a teenage son and understands first-hand the demands of balancing family, work, and wellbeing.
