About Dr Louise Wiseman

Louise qualified from Imperial College in 1997. During this time, she also completed a Physiology degree and studied osteoporosis prevention. Louise started a career in Anaesthetics and then changed to become a GP. She worked as a rural GP partner and then on a career break created a career as a medical journalist and medical editor and wrote her first book on Women’s Health. She then returned to General Practice and expanded her interest in Women’s Health and the menopause. She regularly gives public speaking events to encourage healthy ageing, education around menopause, and lifestyle as medicine. She sees both adult and paediatric patients.

“I am fascinated by the privilege it is to care for patients in both good and poor health, to see families grow, and respect the wisdom the patient brings to the consultation. I am an advocate for positive ageing and love empowering my patients to look after their own health at any age.”
