About Mr Patel
Mr Patel qualified at Cambridge University. He then went on to complete his postgraduate training in Ophthalmology at Moorfields Eye Hospital, London.
At Moorfields, he was a clinical research Fellow – a title he also held at the UCL Institute of Ophthalmology. He won the Moorfields Research Medal for his work in the British Medical Journal on AMD. He also conducted research validating new imaging modalities for the assessment of macular disease.
He has gained an international reputation for providing excellence in patient care with macular disease and is also actively involved in research for finding novel therapies for the condition.
