Bupa Health Services to acquire New Victoria Hospital

We are pleased to announce that Bupa Health Services will be acquiring New Victoria Hospital in Kingston upon Thames, London – its first hospital acquisition in the UK since 2008, and an important next step in Bupa’s journey to help people live longer, healthier, happier lives. The acquisition is anticipated to complete in Summer 2025.  

New Victoria Hospital is a private hospital specialising in orthopaedics, gynaecology, general surgery, and gastroenterology. With over 250 staff members and 150 consultants, it is the healthcare provider of choice for many insured and self-paying patients across south-west London and beyond. 

The hospital currently operates a thriving outpatient and diagnostics department, providing patients with rapid access to advanced imaging, a comprehensive endoscopy service and 33 beds, of which 14 are dedicated day-case beds. The hospital also features three operating theatres among other state-of-the-art facilities. 

Once acquired, New Victoria Hospital will gain access to the world-leading care pathways and clinical innovation available throughout the Bupa Health Services clinical network, from our broad range of primary care services to our clinical innovation at Cromwell Hospital. This access will provide a seamless experience and optimal outcomes for patients.  

To further enhance New Victoria Hospital’s current provision, Bupa Health Services will be working with the New Victoria Hospital team to introduce primary care and health assessments, ensuring that the full spectrum of patients’ needs is met. Additionally, the introduction of our breast, prostate, bowel, gynaecology, cardiology and MSK diagnostic pathways – which are currently in place at Cromwell Hospital and several outpatient clinics – will provide patients with the convenience of an additional location in which to receive rapid and essential care.
