Our private diabetic foot clinic in London

If you’re living with diabetes, taking care of your feet is one of the most important things you can do to stay healthy. At London Medical, our private diabetic foot clinic is here to help you do just that.

Our team of specialists works together to prevent, detect, and treat foot problems that can arise from diabetes. Whether you come to us for a diabetic foot assessment, wound care, or advice on managing your condition, we’re committed to providing you with compassionate, expert care.

    What is diabetic foot?

The term ‘diabetic foot’ refers to a range of foot problems that can happen when you have diabetes.

Over time, high blood sugar levels can damage the nerves in your feet, making it harder for you to feel pain, heat, or injuries. It can also reduce blood flow to your feet, which means cuts or sores may take longer to heal. Because of this, even small problems like blisters can turn into serious infections if not treated quickly. That’s why it’s important to check your feet daily and seek out medical care if needed when you have diabetes.

    Why our diabetic foot clinic?

One-stop care: We provide comprehensive care – from consultation to treatment – in just one visit, all under one roof, by a multidisciplinary team that includes specialists in vascular surgery, podiatry, and diabetology.

Led by consultants: Access hospital-grade expertise from Professor Usman Jaffer, Consultant Vascular and General Surgeon, and Miss Jyoti Patel, Podiatrist, in an accessible and convenient outpatient environment.

Integrated with the London Diabetes Centre: Unlike standalone clinics, our foot service is embedded within the London Diabetes Centre, ensuring seamless coordination with leading diabetologists, endocrinologists, and other specialties.

Preventative care: With advanced diagnostics and proactive management, we catch problems early and prevent them from escalating – reducing the risk of ulcers, infections, or amputations.

Fast-tracked access to surgery: Where surgery is needed, patients can benefit from priority referrals through to Cromwell Hospital.
