American Academy of Ophthalmology

On Friday 11th October, London Medical’s very own retinal ophthalmology expert Philip Hykin presented a major research paper to over 3000 retina specialists at the annual meeting of the American Acadaemy of Ophthalmology in San Francisco.

The paper – ‘A Multicenter Phase 3 Double-Masked Randomized Controlled Noninferiority Trial Comparing the Clinical and Cost Effectiveness of Lucentis vs. Eylea vs. Avastin in Macula Edema Due to Central Retinal Vein Occlusion (LEAVO)’ –  offers ophthalmologists greater insight into the cost-effectiveness and efficacy of some of the most popular anti-VEGF treatments for patients with macular edema due to central retinal vein occlusion.
